Hutchinson Aeorspace designs and manufactures engine vibration isolation systems to meet the exacting standards of the aircraft industry. These systems are designed to reduce the magnitude of vibration transmitted from the propeller/powerplant to the airframe. Isolation provides: reduced pilot fatigue, passenger comfort, and maximum protection of the aircraft structure and systems from the damaging effects of vibration. To maintain maximum performance and protection from the isolation system, replacement is recommended at every engine overhaul.
Type J-9613-59HA is designed and approved for installation without the use of a ‘jellybag’ center spacer. The Hutchinson elastomeric mounts use a higher damping elastomer than the Lord elastomeric mount, which allows the Hutchinson isolator assembly have equivalent damping performance to the Lord isolator assembly without the need for the ‘jellybag’ spacer. The Hutchinson isolator assembly has proven to have equivalent isolation performance with a longer fatigue life wile also eliminating possible methods of failure or leaking of the spacer. |
